Generic Propecia is a medication used to treat male pattern hair loss (thinning hairline on the top of the head or in the mid-scalp area). It works by preventing testosterone from converting into dihydrotestosterone within the body.
The medication is not intended for use by women and children.
Generic Propecia should be taken according to your doctor???s instructions and directions on the prescription label. Do not change the dosage or period of use without prior medical consult.
The medication should be administered orally with a full glass of water, during meals or otherwise, at a predefined time of the day.
Take the medication regularly. It may take up to three months of daily use until you see the results.
If you experience any symptoms associated with allergies such as difficulty breathing, hives, swollen tongue etc., stop using the medication and seek urgent medical help. Contact your doctor at once if you have any of the following symptoms of male breast cancer: breast lump or pain, nipple discharge, other breast changes.
Common side effects of taking Propecia include:
- impotence and loss of sex drive;

Generic Propecia tablets are covered with film and thus pose no danger for pregnant women. However, if a tablet has been crushed or broken, it shouldn???t be handled by pregnant women or those planning pregnancy due to its potential harmful effect on a male fetus. Generic Propecia should be stored at room temperature between 59°F and 86°F (15°C and 30°C), away from moisture and light, and out of reach of children and pets.
